Rocking Horse Quilts

Rocking Horse Quilts is a quilting business based in Ennis, Texas, founded by Sandy Pearson. Sandy began quilting in 2006, turning her daughter’s collection of school and activity T-shirts into a keepsake quilt. Since then, she has made more than 100 quilts and developed a specialty in T-shirt and memory quilts, transforming meaningful fabrics into personal, lasting items.

The business creates custom quilts and offers quilting services for customers who have their own projects, as well as quilt repair when the condition of the quilt allows. Rocking Horse Quilts also sells finished quilts in a range of styles, including baby and children’s, holiday, novelty, and other designs. Featured examples include Halloween and Christmas-themed quilts, along with a Western-inspired design.

The name reflects the Pearson family’s enjoyment of riding Tennessee Walking and Missouri Foxtrot horses, whose smooth gait brought to mind the gentle motion of a rocking chair. In addition to its online offerings, Rocking Horse Quilts shares event listings and helpful information about quilt costs, laundering, and quilt sleeves.
