Rockin' Out Alzheimer's

Rockin’ Out Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation is a community nonprofit based in Statesboro, Georgia, focused on raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and supporting people affected by dementia. The foundation helps caregivers through educational and financial resources, contributes to additional research, and funds scholarships to encourage nursing students to pursue senior care.

Its Caring Closet assists families in Bulloch County and surrounding counties who care for a person with dementia at home. Eligibility requires a physician’s diagnosis, and the person must not be receiving hospice care. Through partnerships with the UGA CARE Center and ROAD, the foundation also supports community listening sessions for residents concerned about brain health, a recent diagnosis, or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

The foundation’s Project Lifesaver partnership with the Bulloch and Candler County Sheriff’s Offices uses wristband transmitters to help locate people who wander or become lost. Its annual fundraising concert brings the community together to support its mission, alongside sponsorships and news updates.
