About Rock Ledge Ranch
Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is a captivating living history museum located in Colorado Springs. Spanning an impressive 230 acres within the Garden of the Gods, this site provides a fascinating glimpse into the past. Immerse yourself in the daily lives of the pioneers, ranchers, and Native Americans who once called this land home.
Step back in time as historical interpreters, dressed in authentic period clothing, guide you through immersive tours, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. From the Ute people's occupation of Camp Creek Valley between 1775 and 1835 to the rustic pre-railroad lifestyle of pioneer Walter Galloway, each era comes to life. Explore the reconstructed homestead cabin, encounter farm animals near the vegetable garden, and discover the 1875 Chambers Family Rock Ledge House.
You can even witness the blacksmith hard at work or indulge in treats and Ranch-made goods at the General Store. Since its opening to the public in 1979, the City of Colorado Springs, alongside the El Pomar and Bemis Taylor Foundations, has dedicated itself to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Pikes Peak region. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the captivating stories and vibrant history at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site
