Rockstar

Rock Star is a Slovak mountaineering school offering guided mountain experiences and practical training in climbing, skiing and ski touring. Founded in 1997 by Dušan Zajac, it describes itself as Slovakia’s first private mountaineering school with its own training centre. Its programmes are led by experienced instructors, including UIAGM mountain guide Dušan Zajac and climbing and ski-touring instructor Barbora Zajacová. The school received accreditation from Slovakia’s Ministry of Education in 2003 and has worked with more than 3,000 participants.

Rock Star’s offerings range from introductory rock-climbing sessions and accredited climbing courses to private climbing days and guided ascents of Tatra peaks, including Gerlachovský and Lomnický štít. It also provides skiing, freeride and ski-touring instruction focused on technique and safer movement in winter terrain. Activities can be tailored to participants’ goals and abilities, with some programmes suitable for beginners. The school emphasizes thoughtful planning, practical instruction, respect for mountain conditions and safety, helping participants build skills as well as enjoy their time in the mountains.
