Rock Steady Farm

Rock Steady Farm, located in Millerton, NY, is a queer-owned and operated cooperative vegetable farm that is deeply committed to social justice, food access, and farmer training. With a mission to increase equity in the food system and create safer spaces for queer and BIPOC farmers, Rock Steady Farm is at the forefront of fighting for inclusivity and sustainability. Since its founding in 2015, Rock Steady Farm has been managing 12 acres of land and implementing holistic and sustainable farming practices.

Their dedication to providing healthy and delicious produce to all is evident through their 450-member sliding scale CSA, which includes no-cost and subsidized shares made available through their Food Access Fund. Additionally, Rock Steady Farm supplies select food pantries and community organizations with their produce on a wholesale basis. In collaboration with other land-based projects, neighbors, and non-profits, Rock Steady Farm actively works to build equity in the local community and beyond.

They also offer public programs aimed at training and supporting LGBTQIA+ farmers, educating the wider community, and driving systemic change. To support their vision of a just, sustainable food system, you can find out more about their farmer bios, press features, and job opportunities on their website. At Rock Steady Farm, they believe in creating a new paradigm in the face of an unjust food system and a growing climate crisis.

Together, they are nurturing change and cultivating a brighter future
