Rocky Mountain Blue Ticks is a breeder and hunting operation specializing in blue tick hounds with bloodlines originating in Ohio and Montana. The dogs are bred and trained for big-game hunting, working year-round on lion and bear in rugged western country. The breeding program aims to preserve and strengthen qualities valued in working hounds, including intelligence, an instinctive cold nose, tough feet, a loud “ball mouth,” accurate locating ability, a strong heart, classic hound looks, and excellent temperament.

Rocky Mountain Blue Ticks reports success in the field and seeks to produce puppies with abilities equal to or better than those of its established bloodlines. The website features puppies for sale, adult dogs identified as sires and dams, information about hunts, and feedback from happy customers. Prospective owners and hound enthusiasts can learn about the operation’s dogs, breeding philosophy, and big-game focus, and use its contact information to inquire about its hounds and available puppies
