ROC The Dogs Rescue

ROC The Dogs Rescue, Inc. is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in Rochester, New York. It works to rescue abandoned, surrendered, stray, abused, and neglected cats and dogs, as well as some small animals, and provide them with shelter, medical care, and the opportunity to find permanent homes.

The organization accepts animals regardless of size, breed, age, or medical status, often helping pets from local shelters, owners facing difficult circumstances, and animals found in the community or at risk of harm. Animals receive appropriate veterinary care and treatment, including spay or neuter services, and are placed in nurturing foster homes when possible while awaiting adoption. ROC The Dogs Rescue also supports adoptive families beyond the adoption process and educates the public about homeless animals, adoption, spaying and neutering, and responsible pet care.

Through volunteer opportunities, fostering, fundraising, and donations, community members can help sustain its work. The rescue also collaborates with area shelters and other organizations to improve outcomes for homeless pets
