Rodinný příběh

Rodinný příběh is a family history and genealogy service led by Jana Šumpíková, a member of the Czech Genealogical Society. Using archival records and other historical sources, it helps families rediscover their ancestors, understand their lives and preserve their stories for future generations. Each project is tailored to the family and goes beyond names and dates to explore the people, relationships and circumstances behind the records.

Services include ancestral charts covering multiple generations, family trees tracing a particular lineage, and illustrated family chronicles that weave research findings together with family memories and anecdotes. Research may draw on parish registers, census records, land books, newspapers, military documents and local chronicles, depending on what survives. Clients receive a family chart, organized archival materials, a detailed research document and a GEDCOM data file; a printed family book is also available on request. The process includes agreeing on the project scope, progress updates and consultation with the family. Research depth and timing depend on the selected service and available sources.
