MEMOR GENERIS provides genealogical research for people interested in discovering their family history. The service, offered by Mgr. Tomáš Brož, focuses on researching ancestors in Czech archives and preparing family trees. Its work can draw on a wide range of historical sources, including birth, marriage and death records, census records, lists of subjects, military documents, municipal chronicles, land registers and, where available, estate papers, marriage contracts and period newspapers. These records can help clients learn about relatives’ origins, occupations, property and lives, and place family stories in their historical context.

Clients can begin with a birth certificate for the person whose ancestry is being researched; additional family information can help the investigation proceed more efficiently. For more recent records held by registry offices, verified authorization and proof of family relationship may be required. MEMOR GENERIS provides a questionnaire to help organize information at the outset. Before commissioned research begins, the client and researcher sign a contract specifying the price, delivery date and handling of personal data.
