About Rohan Bansal
Rohan Bansal is a backend engineer and software developer whose work spans artificial intelligence, developer tools, data visualization, and operational software. He is currently exploring ways to make small models more useful. As Engineer #1 at Crosby, he helped grow the team from four to 80 people and increase client contract volume from zero to $1 billion, contributing tools such as precedent search, a contract lifecycle management system, and evaluation harnesses. At Traba, he worked on improving warehouse shift-fill rates and strengthening developer experience, testing, and CI/CD. Earlier, at Google, he worked on conversational AI for customer support.
Bansal’s independent projects include research into training a 4-billion-parameter model to generate query plans faster than PostgreSQL, an aesthetic terminal-based Git diff review tool, and macOS notifications designed for Claude Code and tmux. He has also created a data visualization of more than 100 AI labs and published a technical report on Traba’s migration from Firestore to PostgreSQL.
