ROKATURAS

ROKATURAS is an arts and entertainment studio founded in 2020 by Latino and LGBTQ artist Rocky Casillas Aguirre. Its mission is to help young people recognize their potential and develop a positive relationship with their emotions. Through original characters, creative storytelling, and educational activities, the studio reaches youth in Minnesota and online, encouraging mindfulness, authenticity, and emotional self-awareness.

A central character is Twitch, a kid flame with big emotions who stars alongside the wise Mystic Weenie in the graphic novel series Twitch and the Mystic Weenie. Their stories explore adventure and self-discovery, inviting readers to approach feelings with curiosity and see their own strengths. ROKATURAS offers books, comics, animations, and other creative content, as well as art residencies, workshops, classroom resources, drawing videos, and a comics club. Educators can arrange drawing workshops or school visits with Rocky and Twitch. The studio also provides worksheets, coloring pages, and classroom posters, and shares videos and fan art through its online platforms.
