About Rolex Middle Sea Race
Rolex Middle Sea Race, organized by the Royal Malta Yacht Club, is an offshore classic that spans 606 nautical miles. Regarded as one of the must-do 600-mile races, it stands shoulder to shoulder with prominent sailing events like the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and Rolex Fastnet Race. The race features a captivating circular route, taking participants amidst two active volcanoes and a multitude of stunning islands.
The course's unique splendor makes it an unmissable experience for both competitors and spectators. The upcoming 44th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race begins on October 21, 2023. With last year's participation reaching an impressive 118 yachts, the organizers are aiming to surpass the record set in 2018 with a fleet of over 130 yachts.
Aspiring participants can register online using the Join the Race button on the official website. Additionally, the Royal Malta Yacht Club, in collaboration with the Malta Sailing Academy, offers World Sailing Sea Survival Courses to ensure participants' safety and readiness.
