WMSTR

Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion (WMSTR) is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bringing the past to life through an annual heritage event in Rollag, Minnesota. Its roots date to 1940, when local threshing enthusiasts gathered to operate a steam engine; the organization formally opened its reunion to the public in 1954. Today, the Labor Day weekend show spans 210 acres and attracts thousands of visitors and volunteers.

The reunion features hundreds of demonstrations and exhibits celebrating historic machinery, agriculture, and community traditions. Visitors can explore steam engines, parades, music venues, crafts, and a construction area, as well as ride the Alco locomotive known as the 353 on a roughly two-mile route around the grounds. The event offers activities and exhibits for visitors of all ages throughout each day. WMSTR also provides visitor information and services, including admission options, camping guidance, lodging and directions, event schedules, registration resources, and educational programs such as Steam School.
