The Roller Derby World Cup (RDWC) is a prestigious international tournament that showcases the talents of amateur roller derby skaters from around the globe. Initially organized by Blood & Thunder magazine, it is now managed by the Roller Derby World Cup Planning Committee. Since its inception in 2011, the RDWC has expanded significantly, featuring teams from a growing number of nations, from 13 in its inaugural event to an anticipated 50 in 2025.

Celebrating the spirit of competition, the RDWC promotes athleticism, sportsmanship, and leadership while enhancing the global image of roller derby. Held every four years, past tournaments have attracted teams from countries including the USA, Canada, and Australia, with competitive matches held under standardized rules developed by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association. The next Roller Derby World Cup will take place from July 3-6, 2025, in Innsbruck, Austria, further solidifying its reputation as a key event in the roller derby calendar.
