Rollin' Grizzlies

The Memphis Rollin’ Grizzlies® is a wheelchair basketball organization that uses sport to build community and improve quality of life for people with spinal cord and lower extremity disabilities. Since 2003, it has offered adults the opportunity to play wheelchair basketball, and since 2022, its program has also welcomed youth ages 6–18. Sanctioned by the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, the team provides players with a pathway to compete at the national level.

Beyond basketball, the organization supports its local wheelchair community through peer mentorship and practical connections. Its work helps people adjust to new injuries, develop relationships, return to the workforce, and pursue college. The team’s mission also includes advocating for disability inclusion across society and creating community partnerships that build bridges rather than barriers.

Eligible participants are invited to practice, play, and get involved. Supporters can contribute through donations, partner with the organization, or shop its store. Through sport, advocacy, and community engagement, the Memphis Rollin’ Grizzlies® works to expand opportunity and connection in Memphis.
