Rollnacht

Rollnacht Düsseldorf is a community skating event that brings inline skaters and roller skaters together to travel through the city on temporarily closed streets. Starting and finishing at Reuterkaserne, about 200 metres north of Burgplatz in Düsseldorf’s Old Town, the event offers participants a chance to enjoy smooth urban routes in a supported group setting. Participation is free, and advance registration is not required. Police, a lead vehicle from Skateschule NRW and ASB ambulances accompany the skate nights.

The event is intended for recreational skaters rather than competitors or absolute beginners. Participants must be able to skate safely and control their speed with a braking technique, and must follow the organizers’ safety rules. Protective gear, especially helmets, is strongly recommended; helmets are compulsory for children under 14. Rollnacht Düsseldorf also shares event dates, frequently asked questions, rules, photos and updates through its website and social media. Visitors can find a fan shop and skate rental information, while adults who meet the requirements can volunteer as course marshals to help keep routes safe.
