Romanian Festival DC presents Romanian Weekend at The Wharf, a free annual celebration introducing audiences to the country’s contemporary and traditional arts, culture, and community. Its program brings together folk performances and modern sounds, including music and dances from Banat, Romanian folklore fused with contemporary beats, and recitals by Romanian-American pop-folk artist Andreea Rebăltescu. Visitors can also join dance performances, explore Romanian holiday customs, and celebrate the Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse.
Beyond the stage, Romanian Weekend offers opportunities to discover traditional crafts and design.
