Denise, the creative force behind Romantic Recollections, has been captivated by the fashion of bygone eras since childhood, particularly the puffed sleeves, full skirts, and nipped-in waists of 1895. With a degree in Apparel Design and Services, along with an expanded skill set in patterning, fine finishing, and tailoring, Denise launched Romantic Recollections in 2005.

At Romantic Recollections, Denise works closely with clients to bring their costuming dreams to life. Whether it's a meticulously researched reproduction piece or a fanciful, historically-inspired costume, Denise strives to balance machine sewing and embroidery with the techniques and workmanship of hand finishing to provide the perfect blend of quality and speed. In 2011, Denise expanded her offerings by creating a line of historically-accurate machine embroidery designs based on extant garments and period publications.
