Our mission is to advance higher education and improve the lives of community and public service-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans and accelerate their progress into impactful leadership roles and opportunities. Our vision is to cultivate the next generation of transformational leaders who positively impact their communities and blaze new paths in their chosen careers and professions. About Ron Brown Scholar Program
The Ron Brown Scholar Program is a brand committed to advancing higher education and improving the lives of intellectually gifted, community-minded African Americans. They strive to accelerate the progress of these individuals into impactful leadership roles and opportunities. With a focus on serving 2,000 students annually, the program offers three main programs: the Signature Scholarship, the Ron Brown-Ruth and Norman Rales Leaders Network Career Development Program, and the Guided Pathway Support Program.
Additionally, they have a College Access Initiative aimed at providing access to college for deserving students. The program has had a significant impact, with 99% graduation rate among scholars and over 200 universities attended. They also offer a resource directory called RBS Connect, which allows scholars, captains, and alumni to connect with each other, access professional development resources, search for jobs, and more.
