Rooted Birth Services provides inclusive, personalized support for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum life in the greater Albuquerque area. Founded by Megan Wheeler, a certified childbirth educator, full-spectrum doula, breastfeeding specialist, and perinatal yoga teacher, the practice centers each birthing person and their family with respectful, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care.

Services include birth and postpartum doula support, with care tailored to a range of reproductive and family-building experiences. Lactation services offer individualized breastfeeding and nursing guidance both before and after a baby’s arrival. Rooted Birth Services also provides group prenatal yoga classes, private or small-group childbirth education, and support with birth and postpartum planning. A private Birth Planning and Comfort Measures workshop is also available.

Doula care is non-medical and can complement births in different settings and circumstances, including home or hospital births, inductions, epidurals, and C-sections. Support may also extend to partners and other support people. Rooted Birth Services aims to help families feel informed, supported, and empowered through major life transitions.
