Rooted in Connection LLC

Rooted in Connection LLC is a pediatric speech and language therapy practice providing in-home services in Massachusetts. Led by Emma Leahey, M.S., CCC-SLP, an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association-certified speech-language pathologist licensed in Massachusetts, the practice supports children’s communication through child-led, play-based, and neurodiversity-affirming therapy.

Rooted in Connection builds therapy around each child’s strengths, interests, and preferred ways of communicating. The practice accepts all forms of communication and uses sensory integration strategies to support regulation and communication. Its approach emphasizes a trusting relationship with the child as a foundation for connection, confidence, and communication, while also empowering caregivers to connect with and support their children.

Services begin with a free 15-minute phone call, followed by an evaluation to understand a child’s strengths and support needs. Therapy is provided at home, with families invited to inquire about service availability in their area. Rooted in Connection is a private-pay, out-of-network practice and can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement, depending on a family’s insurance benefits.
