Roots to Roses LLC

Roots to Roses LLC is an Indianapolis-based birth and postpartum doula practice serving families across Central Indiana and surrounding areas. Led by certified labor and postpartum doula Dorothea, the practice offers inclusive, trauma-informed support centered on each family’s voice, values, and choices. Its services are especially suited to first-time parents, LGBTQIA+ families, and people navigating surrogacy, while welcoming families with many different needs and birth plans.

Roots to Roses provides childbirth education, including self-paced classes, as well as birth planning and preparation for postpartum life. Labor support is available before, during, and after birth, with a focus on emotional reassurance, comfort techniques, advocacy, and helping parents feel confident in their decisions. Postpartum doula care supports families as they adjust after a baby arrives, aiming to ease stress and encourage a more supported transition into parenthood. Services are offered in-home or virtually. The practice also provides ongoing emotional support and a free consultation for people interested in learning more.
