QUALITÄT MADE IN BAVARIA Die ROPA Fahrzeug- und Maschinenbau GmbH in Sittelsdorf hat sich in den letzten Jahren zu einem wichtigen Produktionsstandort zur Herstellung von Maschinen für die Zuckerrüben- und Kartoffelerntetechnik entwickelt. Über 500 Mitarbeiter sind bei ROPA am Stammsitz in Sittelsdorf beschäftigt, darunter befinden sich 20 Auszubildende. In den letzten Jahren wurde viel Energie und Kapital in den Ausbau des Stammbetriebes in Sittelsdorf investiert. Aufgrund der steigenden Nachfrage nach hochwertigen ROPA Maschinen wurden neue Fertigungshallen für Produktion, Forschung und Entwicklung errichtet, sowie eine neue Pulverbeschichtungsanlage in Betrieb genommen. Um bestmöglichen Kundendienst und Ersatzteilversorgung auch außerhalb von Deutschland zu gewährleisten, wurden eigene Tochterunternehmen in Frankreich, in der Ukraine, in Russland, Polen und in China gegründet in denen weitere 200 Mitarbeiter für Kundendienst, Ersatzteillager und Vertrieb beschäftigt sind. In direkter Angrenzung zum Werksgelände hat Firmengründer Hermann Paintner eine innovative Pilotbiogasanlage zur Erzeugung von Ökostrom und Wärme aus Zuckerrüben erbaut. Mit der experimentellen Versuchsanlage werden die Gäreigenschaften von Zuckerrüben ermittelt.
