Heartwood Collection

The Ropemaker is a characterful pub, restaurant and hotel in Emsworth, Hampshire, offering a welcoming coastal retreat on England’s south coast. Part of Heartwood Inns, it is close to the town’s harbour, beach, local attractions and picturesque streets. Guests can enjoy a drink at the bar, dine in a relaxed setting or unwind in the outdoor seating area, with comfortable rooms available for overnight stays. Room styles range from Snug and Comfy to Fancy and Really Fancy, with family-friendly options and dog-friendly stays.

The kitchen serves seasonal à la carte dishes, a dedicated children’s menu and meals for dogs, alongside popular Sunday roasts with bottomless trimmings. A selected wine list complements the food, and the pub also offers breakfast, lunch, tea and coffee. Visitors can take part in events such as quiz and games nights, steak nights and live entertainment, or book the venue for celebrations and meetings. The Ropemaker also provides room offers, gift vouchers and access to Heartwood Inns’ Treats loyalty app, with rewards including complimentary drinks, desserts and food discounts.
