RoQTeam is a Romanian community initiative focused on making quantum science accessible and strengthening the country’s role in the quantum field. It brings together scientists, students, researchers, industry experts, and curious learners to explore quantum physics through education, collaboration, and practical activities. Its work connects quantum topics with Romania’s STEM landscape and builds links among education, research, and industry.
The team organizes events, courses, and interactive lessons for learners at different levels. Its flagship annual event, BreaQ (Breaking the Boundaries of Quantum Uncertainty), is developed with Politehnica University of Bucharest and the Military Technical Academy “Ferdinand I.” BreaQ features scientific talks, interactive courses, and a quantum hackathon. The 2026 program includes a hackathon and conference, while previous editions have offered workshops, expert-led lectures, and a quantum optics laboratory visit.
RoQTeam grew from Romania’s first Qiskit Fall Fest in 2024, organized with its university partners. The event helped connect the country’s quantum community and laid the foundation for ongoing collaboration through learning activities and hackathons.
