Røros Tur- og Løypeforening

Røros Tur- og løypeforening is a local association dedicated to maintaining ski trails and supporting outdoor recreation in Røros municipality, Norway. Its groomed trail network covers 200 kilometres, extending from Kvernskaret in the south to Vikheim in the north. The association operates and maintains the trails with its grooming machines, and provides a trail map and information on current conditions.

In central Røros, the association’s Aasgjerdet area offers children and young people a place for winter play, with a ski lift, sledding hill and warm room with a kiosk. Volunteers operate the alpine slope and warm room. The association also encourages outdoor experiences throughout the year and has installed six shelters along the trail network for public use.

Community support helps sustain these shared facilities and activities. Membership options include individual, family and cabin memberships, for residents, households, cabin owners and recreational users. The association invites people to join and contribute to the continued upkeep of local trails and opportunities for skiing and winter recreation.
