KG Rot Weiße Funken Saarwellingen e. V. is a carnival association based in Saarwellingen, Germany, dedicated to preserving and celebrating local carnival traditions since 1926.
Guided by the motto “If we don’t make ourselves laugh, we have nothing to laugh about,” the group helps bring the Wellinger Faasend to life through performances, community events, and seasonal festivities. Its activities include a session-opening celebration, carnival gatherings and parades, a Kappensitzung featuring humorous speeches and entertainment, and a children’s festival. The association’s performers present a varied programme of dance, music, and spoken comedy, while local carnival princes and princesses are introduced and celebrated during the season.
Its groups include Funkenflug, the mini and children’s guard, junior and active performers, the RWF Ladys, and a men’s ballet group, with training times listed for members. The association also shares its history, news, galleries, and information about its leadership and honorary members. Based in Saarwellingen, it welcomes visitors to its events and invites people to enquire about membership and participate in the community’s carnival celebrations
