RotaCare Bay Area

RotaCare Bay Area, Inc. is a nonprofit public benefit corporation providing free healthcare to uninsured and underserved people across the Greater Bay Area. Founded in 1989 to address limited access to primary care, the organization has grown from its first Santa Clara clinic to nine clinics serving communities including Coastside, Concord, Monterey, the Northern Peninsula, Pittsburg, Richmond, San Jose, San Rafael, and Santa Cruz.

RotaCare’s volunteer-driven, patient-centered clinics offer primary and urgent medical care to individuals and families with limited ability to pay. Services provided at the clinics are free to patients and include medical examinations, diagnostic and laboratory testing, and most medications. The organization brings together volunteer medical professionals, community members, and partner organizations to help expand access to quality care.

RotaCare welcomes licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other volunteers, including interpreters and administrative staff. Its work is supported by local philanthropy, grants, and donations. Community members can contribute financially or volunteer, helping sustain clinic visits and follow-up care for people who might otherwise struggle to access healthcare.
