Rotorua Museum, also known as Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa, is a prominent brand that offers a range of cultural and historical experiences in New Zealand. Currently closed for restoration and earthquake strengthening, the museum is housed in the iconic Bath House building, which holds great significance for both the local community and the country as a whole. Following a community consultation, the Rotorua Lakes Council elected members have approved the strengthening and re-opening of the museum in August 2023, provided certain conditions are met to minimize financial risk.
