Round Sheffield Run is a multi-stage trail-running event that showcases the trails and parkland of Sheffield, described by its organisers as the UK’s greenest city. Its distinctive format turns a 24-kilometre route into 11 individually timed stages, covering around 20 kilometres of running. Each stage offers its own character and challenge, with scenic trails, rewarding climbs and flowing paths.
Between stages, participants can walk, recover and regroup with friends before setting off again. Runners receive times for each stage and an overall result shortly after finishing, and can take part solo or as a pair. The event welcomes a broad range of abilities, from experienced competitors to people new to running, with friendly competition and encouragement along the way.
Beyond the course, Round Sheffield Run focuses on a sociable, celebratory atmosphere, with shared food and drink, draft ales and a DJ at its post-race gathering.
