Rousset Cotare

Rousset Cotare creates personalized memorial plaques from enamelled lava stone, drawing on 40 years of experience and French craftsmanship. The company’s stone comes from volcanic rock blocks sourced in the Auvergne region. These are cut into slabs, coated with enamel made using pigments from France, and fired at 1,000°C in a two-stage process. A further transfer-printing technique allows scanned or photographed images and documents to be reproduced with fine detail, supporting custom designs and repeated production.

The resulting plaques combine the natural character of lava with durable, lasting decoration. The material is resistant to frost, weather, chemical products and other forms of wear, while its colours remain stable in sunlight. It can withstand heat up to 360°C and is easy to clean with a sponge. Rousset Cotare offers hundreds of colours and personalized decorative options, and invites customers to get in touch to develop plaque designs and layouts. Its work is intended to preserve personal memories in a distinctive, enduring form.
