Routarouncey is an independent hobbyhorse brand created by Elina, a lifelong horse enthusiast and experienced maker. Inspired by a childhood love of sewing, she has made hundreds of hobbyhorses, each designed and handmade with care. The name refers to a medieval word for an all-purpose horse, reflecting the many ways hobbyhorses can be enjoyed: in competitions, imaginative play, photography, decoration, or as keepsakes.
The collection includes ready-made horses for sale and custom creations made to customers’ wishes. Each horse has its own colors, mane, expression, and character, with designs inspired by breeds such as ponies, warmbloods, and Arabians. Quality and durability are central, so the horses are made for both everyday adventures and active use. Many also feature Routa Compact, a detachable-stick mechanism designed to make transport easier while keeping the stick securely attached during use.
Routarouncey also offers horse equipment, including bridles and other tack. Customers can choose ready-made items or request custom and made-to-measure designs, with styles ranging from realistic tack to simpler models.
