Rowdy Bluegill Ranch

Rowdy Bluegill Ranch is a small working farm in Easley, South Carolina, established in July 2017. What began as a homestead grew into a farm shaped by a passion for healthy livestock, gardening, and permaculture. The ranch focuses on breeding happy, healthy, structurally correct goats, particularly Myotonic (fainting) and Lamancha breeds.

Its goats are tested annually for CAE and Johne’s disease, and the ranch reports that results have consistently been negative. Rowdy Bluegill Ranch also raises rare-breed chickens, selecting birds to meet breed standards while aiming for richly colored eggs. The farm offers goats and breeding stock, with Myotonic kids generally available after eight to ten weeks; prospective buyers can ask to join the waitlist.

Its products also include artisan goat milk soap, available for retail pickup at the farm, with wholesale inquiries welcomed from local stores. The ranch shares updates through its website and Facebook, and occasionally attends local fairs. Its approach brings livestock, gardens, and the surrounding land together as part of a small-scale, quality-focused homestead
