Royal Aero Club of WA

The Royal Aero Club of Western Australia is a Perth-based aviation organisation that has been training pilots since 1929. One of Australia’s largest flight training organisations, it operates more than 30 aircraft and employs qualified flight instructors. Its training options suit people flying for recreation or pursuing aviation careers, with full-time, part-time and self-study courses. Students can work towards recreational, private and commercial pilot licences, and pursue additional ratings and endorsements, including instrument, multi-engine, aerobatics and flight instructor qualifications. The club emphasises safety and professional standards, aiming to prepare graduates for employment in the aviation industry.

Members and the public can also hire aircraft for private flying, training, scenic flights or charter. The club offers trial instructional flights, scenic experiences and vintage Tiger Moth flights from Jandakot and Murrayfield, as well as flight promotion packages and a Young Eagles program. Additional services include aircraft maintenance and repair at its Jandakot hangar, membership, venue hire, catering and dining at The Apron Cafe & Bar.
