About Royal Musselburgh
Royal Musselburgh Golf Club is a historic golf club on Scotland’s East Lothian coast, near Musselburgh and at the start of the area known as Scotland’s Golf Coast. Celebrating 250 years from 1774 to 2024, it describes itself as the sixth-oldest golf club in the world. Its heritage includes the Old Club Cup, dating from 1774 and identified by the club as the world’s oldest trophy still contested competitively.
The club offers visitors an 18-hole parkland course associated with architect James Braid, along with a driving range of more than 300 yards, a short-game practice area and a six-hole short-game course. Golfers can book tee times and enter open competitions, while members have access to club fixtures, competitions and reciprocal arrangements through the James Braid Association and East Lothian Golf Coast. The club also operates a professional’s shop and welcomes guests to its clubhouse for weddings and other events.
Located at Prestongrange House in Prestonpans, Royal Musselburgh combines golf facilities with a long-standing place in the sport’s history
