About Royal Run
Royal Run is an annual sports event held in several Danish cities, with its inception on May 21, 2018, in honor of HM the King of Denmark's 50th birthday. The Royal Family actively participates in this unique event. In 2024, Royal Run will be hosted in Fredericia, Brønderslev, Aarhus, Kalundborg, and Copenhagen/Frederiksberg on May 20th.
It offers an inclusive opportunity for everyone to join in, emphasizing running, walking, or a mix of both. Participants can choose from three distances: One mile (1. 6 km), 5 km, and 10 km, accommodating all fitness levels.
Whether aiming for personal records or enjoying a leisurely pace, families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities can partake in the festivities. Organized by The National Olympic Committee & Sports Confederation of Denmark, Royal Run aligns with the "Move for Life" initiative to promote physical activity nationwide.
