Roy’s Umbrella is a financial services company founded to help employees of Sutter Health and UC Davis navigate important financial decisions, while giving back to the communities that supported founder Roy McGovern through serious illness. The company aims to provide a one-stop resource for financial needs, combining guidance on mortgages and real estate with credit advice and repair, financial planning, tax preparation, loan consolidation, estate planning, and insurance.

Roy’s Umbrella emphasizes knowledgeable, experienced support and a comprehensive approach to clients’ financial lives. Staff can answer real estate questions and guide clients through mortgage transactions, with Roy pledging personal attention throughout the loan process so clients feel supported rather than overlooked. The company also recommends professional help with taxes and attorney-led estate planning.

Its mission includes supporting children and families affected by cancer. Roy seeks to fund an art therapist’s annual salary in pediatric oncology at UC Davis and establish an annual event for siblings of pediatric cancer patients.
