RSA Villa Causa is a protected residence and residential healthcare facility in Genoa’s Albaro district, operated by Fondazione Opera Pia Causa, a charitable foundation with a history dating to 1849. Guided by a commitment to dignity, compassion and care for vulnerable people, the foundation serves older adults and children, including through connections between residents and the foundation’s nursery school.

Set in a villa with sea views, gardens and outdoor spaces, the residence can accommodate up to 56 older people, including those who are self-sufficient, partially dependent or non-self-sufficient. Its single rooms offer varying facilities, with the majority having private bathrooms; rooms are described as bright and equipped for residents’ comfort. Services include nursing, medical and personal care, assistance around the clock, meals prepared in an internal kitchen, and access to a medical office and infirmary. Residents can also take part in daily recreational, social, cultural and artistic activities, with support from a professional activities coordinator.
