RSOE EDIS

The Emergency and Disaster Information Service (EDIS) is a global event-monitoring and information service operated by the Hungarian National Association of Radio Distress-Signalling and Infocommunications (RSOE). It monitors, documents, and analyzes emergency and disaster events worldwide, drawing on information from organizations, authorities, and trusted media to provide timely coverage. EDIS processes gathered data and presents events through web interfaces and mobile apps, while also notifying users about selected incidents.

Its free services include event listings and maps, basic details such as event type, location, date, level, and severity, detailed event descriptions, category-based filtering, and notifications filtered by category and continent. The interfaces and notifications support multiple languages. Registered users can access enhanced event details on the web, including auxiliary data layers for affected areas. Paid options include ad-free apps, location-based alerts, event histories for a user’s area, and API access to current events in GeoJSON format. EDIS also provides severity and impact analysis using GIS data, corporate emergency-management services, and customized data services.
