Originally known as NERSSSF (Northern European Rec. Sport. Soccer Statistics Foundation), it was established in January 1994 by three passionate contributors to the rec.

Their commitment to football statistics led them to create an extensive archive, which has been continuously updated and expanded since its inception. The RSSSF archive offers league tables, historical data, international and domestic tournament results, information on football clubs and countries, and much more. It is a go-to resource for football enthusiasts, professionals, and researchers alike.
