Red Sea Wind Energy (RSWE) is a leading brand dedicated to constructing and operating a greenfield wind farm in Ras Ghareb, Egypt. With a capacity of 500 MW, this wind farm consists of 84 state-of-the-art wind turbines and a 33/220 kV substation. Strategically located near the Gulf of Suez, approximately 40 km Northwest of Ras Ghareb city, the wind farm covers nearly 70 km2 and benefits from favorable wind conditions, resulting in an anticipated capacity factor of 55%.

Established in 2020, RSWE is a collaborative venture involving renowned companies such as ENGIE from France (35% stake), Toyota Tsusho Corporation & Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation from Japan (collectively holding 40%), and Orascom Construction from Egypt (25%). The project has also secured a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, site access through a Usufruct Agreement from the New and Renewable Energy Authority, and a Governmental Guarantee from the Ministry of Finance. The project's financing is supported by reputable institutions like the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, and more.
