Rwanda TVET Board (RTB) is a pivotal government institution launched in 2020 to enhance technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Rwanda. Established under the Ministry of Education, RTB plays a crucial role in shaping the future workforce by promoting quality education from level one (1) to five (5) of the Rwanda TVET Qualification Framework. With the mission to fast-track socio-economic development, RTB designs curricula, produces teaching materials, and develops training methodologies that align with industry needs.

Led by Director General Paul Umukunzi, RTB’s dedicated team includes specialists in training management, curriculum development, and instructional materials. They focus on integrating information and communication technology into education and continuously enhance trainer capacities. RTB also offers programs to support trainers' development and advise the government on effective TVET policies. By coordinating and overseeing various technical training initiatives, RTB is committed to elevating the standards of vocational education in Rwanda, thus fostering a skilled and competent workforce for the nation’s advancement.
