Stewart Smith is a Brooklyn-based creative technologist, artist, writer, and speaker whose work connects emerging technology with design and culture. Educated in graphic design at Yale University, he has built a career spanning software engineering, creative direction, research, and education. Smith co-founded Advanced Projects Group (APG), which develops projects for clients in fields including aerospace, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and fine art; client and project details are confidential.

His work includes virtual and augmented reality experiences, WebXR tools, quantum circuit simulations, generative AI products, interactive games, typefaces, music videos, and essays. Notable projects include the Dance Tonite VR music video, the open-source Q. js quantum toolkit, Unity Muse Chat, and the Chrome Racer mobile game.

Smith’s code and collaborations have been associated with Google, Amazon, Unity, and Yahoo, where he filed a machine-learning patent. An award-winning practitioner, he has received recognition including a Cannes Lions Gold Lion, and his art has been exhibited at institutions such as MoMA and SFMOMA
