Rubbish Rocket began in 2021 with a simple idea: clearing rubbish shouldn’t be complicated, stressful, or harmful to the environment. From the start, our goal wasn’t just to move waste from one place to another, but to rethink how a local business could serve its community by doing things faster, more responsibly, and with genuine care for both people and place.

Operating out of Rose Bay, we quickly grew beyond Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, taking our service into Wollongong, and the Illawarra, the Southern Highlands, the Central Coast, and the Blue Mountains. Each new region brought its own challenges – tight laneways in the city, steep driveways in the mountains, and large-scale clear-outs in growing regional hubs, but our approach stayed the same: show up on time, do the hard work with a smile, and leave every space better than we found it.

What truly defines us is our commitment to sustainability. Instead of treating rubbish as “waste,” we see it as material with potential. Timber, steel, soil, and concrete are sorted and recycled; furniture in good condition is donated to charities; and over 80% of everything we collect is kept out of landfill.

More than a service, Rubbish Rocket has become part of the communities we work in. From helping families clear out decades of memories to supporting small businesses in transition, we’ve learned that rubbish removal is never just about junk, it’s about making space for what comes next. That’s the story we continue to write every day, one truckload at a time.
