About Rubena
Rubena is a renowned brand with a rich history in the rubber industry. It all began in 1908 when Josef Kudrnáč started producing lubricants and rubber products. In 1923, together with Ing.
Jaroslav Haukaf, they established the production of technical rubber. In 1929, Kudrnáč Co. After World War II, it was transformed into a national company and renamed Rubena in 1947.
Over the years, Rubena expanded its operations and merged with other rubber plants to form VHJ Czech rubber plant Náchod. Rubena has continuously evolved its production techniques, integrating injection press technology for technical rubber in the 1960s. Although the production of car tires was later transferred to Otrokovice, Rubena remained a leading player in the rubber industry.
In 1996, Rubena became a part of CGS, a. s., and in 2021, it was acquired by the Czech investment group Kaprain. Today, Rubena is the largest European manufacturer of bicycle tires and tubes, offering a diverse range of products that include V-belts, air springs, power elements, flexible and inflatable rubber products, ice hockey pucks, seals, bags, tanks, and rubber compounds.
