Ruddy Duck Brewery & Grill is a Southern Maryland dining and brewing brand established in 2009, founded by Carlos Yanez and Michael Kelley to create a vibrant gathering place featuring artisan-crafted food and beer. The business operates two venues: Ruddy Duck Brewery & Grill in Dowell and Ruddy Duck Seafood & Alehouse in Piney Point. Guests can explore food and beer menus, specials, and events, while the venues also offer space for hosted events.
The kitchens emphasize fresh ingredients and scratch preparation. Daily deliveries include jumbo-lump crab, chicken, pork, haddock, and salmon, while steaks and hamburgers are made with grass-fed, all-natural beef. Seafood and produce are sourced locally whenever available. The menu includes freshly cooked signature chicken wings, and desserts, pizza dough, Chipas, sauces, dressings, and soups are prepared in-house each day. With a focus on quality ingredients and carefully developed flavors, Ruddy Duck brings together casual hospitality, craft brewing, and a varied food offering across its Southern Maryland locations.
