Schülerrudern in Bonn is a fundraising and information initiative supporting school rowing in Bonn. Its central project is a new boathouse for the Schüler-Ruder-Club (SRC), associated with Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium, and the Gymnasial-Ruder-Club (GRC), associated with Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Gymnasium. The initiative is being developed by the clubs’ alumni associations in cooperation with the City of Bonn, following years of planning to find a suitable home for the school rowing community.

The proposed site is in Beuel’s Rheinaue, where a boathouse and club building are designated in the local development plan. Plans envisage a largely prefabricated timber building, with architectural concepts developed by Baumschlager-Eberle. The project aims to provide long-term accommodation for young rowers and their boats, while supporting training and future generations of students.

The website shares project updates, design information, FAQs, event recordings and the clubs’ newsletter. It also invites one-time and long-term donations, provides donation options, and explains how private contributions, sponsorship, city funding and grants may support construction.
