Stiftung Rütimattli

Stiftung Rütimattli is a social care and education foundation based in Sachseln and Sarnen, in the Swiss canton of Obwalden. Its work focuses on supporting people with developmental, intellectual, multiple or psychological disabilities, helping them participate in everyday life and build meaningful life perspectives. Around 250 staff members serve approximately 300 clients through a broad range of services.

For children and young people, the foundation offers early special education, a special education school, integrative special schooling, therapy, vocational guidance and residential support. Adults can access supported living, day programmes, holiday stays and outpatient assistance, as well as training, employment and meaningful work opportunities. The foundation’s production and service activities include filling and packaging, dispatch, print finishing, office and shredding services, assembly, metalworking, woodworking and gardening. Products are also available through its workshop shop and online store. With more than 250 supported work and care places, Stiftung Rütimattli is a significant employer in Obwalden and combines practical services with its mission of inclusion and support.
