About Rugby Europe
Rugby Europe is the premier governing body responsible for organizing and managing international rugby competitions across Europe. With 48 member unions under its jurisdiction, Rugby Europe is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport. Every year, they organize over 80 international games and 20 rugby tournaments, including the Men's fifteen-a-side European Championships (Championship, Trophy, Conference 1 & 2, Development), U20 and U18 European Championships, as well as all Europe Men and Women Sevens Nations Competitions, including World Cup and Olympics Qualifiers.
Rugby Europe was established in 1934 as the FIRA (Fédération Internationale de Rugby Amateur) and later became FIRA-AER in 1999. In 2014, it transformed into Rugby Europe. As a regional association of World Rugby, Rugby Europe plays a crucial role in shaping and nurturing rugby talents across the continent.
