**Scalable Cities** is an innovative initiative backed by the European Commission, aimed at fostering a sustainable and collaborative community of smart, climate-neutral cities across Europe. This ambitious program encompasses 142 cities actively participating in 28 Smart Cities and Communities (SCC) and Positive Energy Districts (PED) projects, primarily funded through Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe initiatives. The project focuses on deploying scalable integrated solutions and business models that address urban sustainability.

Participants collaborate with academia, industry, and consultants, leading to over 550 demonstrations of technological and social innovations covering mobility, urban data, citizen engagement, and urban governance. The initiative offers invaluable services such as knowledge sharing through the City Coordinators Group and expert technical advice through designated Task Groups. Additionally, Scalable Cities provides funding opportunities through the Action Grant program, enabling cities to replicate successful measures. With an impressive track record of energy savings and emissions reductions, Scalable Cities is pioneering efforts to transform urban environments, proving that smart actions can significantly contribute to achieving climate-neutral goals.
